Land O’ Lakes Cup – 2025
a UKC Field Trial
Join us for an unforgettable weekend celebrating the art of bird dogs in the beautiful Land O’ Lakes of Minnesota. Hosted by Korthals Griffon United States, this event is a testament to the passion and dedication of hunters united by their love for pointing breeds.
The first annual Land O’ Lakes Cup invites you to showcase your dog’s talent, connect with like-minded enthusiasts, and compete for top honors. Together, we are bringing the best of the UKC to create an event that uplifts handlers, dogs, and the rich traditions of the sport.
This exciting event is open to all UKC Pointing Breeds and features a variety of field trials and tests to challenge handlers and dogs alike. Don’t miss your chance to participate in the run for The Cup, where the winners of each class go head-to-head in a thrilling Sunday runoff.

What’s Happening: Liberated Field Trials & Tests featuring:
- OPEN Braces
- OPEN Solo
- GUN Solo
- GUN with TAN
- TAN (Natural Ability Test)
- WRT (Water Retrieving Test)
- Chukars will be used for trials (bobwhite quail may substitute as backup).
Note: No GPS/Locator collars will be allowed.

Compete for The Cup: Dogs entered in the Open and Gun classes are eligible to compete for The Cup in a thrilling Sunday afternoon runoff. Winners will earn bragging rights and recognition, though The Cup holds no official UKC affiliation.

Dry Camping/RV Parking: Available at Four Brooks (self-contained only).
Nearby Lodging: Rodeway Inn, 635 10th ave SE, Milaca, MN (15 minutes away)
Getting There:
From the Twin Cities, follow MN Highway 10 west towards Elk River, MN. Exit onto US Highway 169 N towards Princeton, MN. Stay on 169 N. After passing MN Highway 23 near Milaca, you will go an additional 135 miles north on US 169 N. Mille Lacs county road 20 will be on your right, do a U-tum on US 169 and go back south for about 14 mile, crossing over Burnt Land Brook.
The entrance to the grounds is the first gravel road to the west with a gate leading to a parking area. There is a 100′ tall steel radio tower located at hunter’s road entrance.

Getting There:
Directions to both from the Bay Area: From I-80 at Vacaville, take the I-505 turnoff heading north toward Redding. 30 miles north of Vacaville, take the County Road 14 turnoff. Turn left, heading west over the freeway. Clubhouse is 1/2 mile west of “505” on the left, near the barn.
Directions to both from Sacramento:
From Sacramento, take I-5 heading north. Take the “Zamora” turnoff, turn left heading west over the freeway. Travel 3 miles, cross over “505”. Clubhouse is 1/2 mile west of “505” on the left, near the barn
We will be staging and camping in the parking grounds for Field 19.
